A lot happened at the end of our season!
I missed the February newsletter. That’s my fault!
We reached honorable mention in the national rankings.
We won the Wisconsin Challenge Series Tournament, which is the toughest tournament in the state other than the state tournament itself.
We became back-to-back Wisconsin Multi-Dual Champions! We had a rematch with Wausau West in the finals and won 48-24.
After winning those events, WiWrestle named us their team of the week for the third week of January.
Kaytlynn Lambries set our new fastest fall record twice with two eight-second pins. She also had the fastest pin at the state tournament in thirteen seconds.
We had a state-high seven state qualifiers!
Aini Anderson 100
Kaytlynn Lambries 107
Allison Weiss 114
Anna Strasser 126
Alexa Szak 145
Maddie Hall 165
Sophia Walter 185
Freshmen Kaytlynn Lambries placed 6th at the state tournament!
We got a lot better this season compared to the year before. I credit those mostly to adapting our technique, improving our culture, and bringing on more coaches.
A big thank you to our coaches Evelyn Vetsch, Carter Vetsch, and Kelsie Speltz for everything they do for our program!
We’re getting started on the offseason to improve for next season. Askren Academy is coming to Holmen starting March 12! Sign up link.
